Any conversation on purpose and identity must start with the biblical truth that God created you to be in a right relationship with Him. You are a treasured creation that He loves and has blessed with unique talents, passions, and interests.
We cannot know what God has in store for you specifically; however, we know God loves you and has a specific plan for each of us. God wants to help you see how to use your gifts for something bigger and bring glory to Him. His desire is for us to seek out and yield to His purpose so He can use us to accomplish it.
The Bible tells us that God has a Plan for us: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13).
Jesus Christ wants to be walking with you in relationship and wants you to find your value and identity in Him. He paid the price for our sinfulness and desires for us to experience His purpose and hope in our lives. In HIM, we have identity and value.
