God loves us and yearns to fellowship with us. He hears every prayer and often answers differently than we desire. He may say “No” or “not now”. He may also wait to answer because there is active sin in our lives and God wants us to address that first. We may also be praying for our will to be done rather than His will.
We don’t like it when he delays his response or responds in ways we don’t understand. But we don’t see what he sees or know what he knows. Silence from God does not mean no or never. His silence is almost always an invitation to draw closer, to seek his heart, to position yourself nearer to Him. There’s always a gap between our request and his answer, and what we do in the gap often reflects what we truly believe about Him. Our faith or expectations may be an issue, but his power, grace, and love and not the issue. Unanswered prayer is a call to come closer, look deeper, believe more certainly.
Things don’t always work out as we desire but God can use every circumstance to bring us closer to Him and prepare us for something better in the future. If you are still struggling with this, then let’s chat.
